Best Waffles Ever Recipe BEST WAFFLES EVAR My shiny new Cuisinart waffle iron (thanks, Mom!) is subtly different from my old one, which worked well in my old Belgian waffle iron. Inspiration + Perspiration = Wafflevention! Tom Boutell Ingredients 1/3 cup white flour 1/3 cup whole wheat flour 1/3 cup quick oats 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 pinch cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves 1/4 cup mixed nuts 1/4 cup chocolate chips 1 banana Milk (soy, but dairy should work fine) Yield Approx. 3 waffles Method Plug in waffle iron. and Mix flour, oats, baking powder, and spices thoroughly. Add nuts and chips. Mash banana separately (a frozen banana, microwaved for one minute, is easy to peel and barely requires mashing). Mix in banana, adding milk slowly and continuing to stir until a thick but pourable texture is achieved. Spray waffle iron with PAM or other cooking spray, save your nonstick waffle grids from ruin. Pour a scoop of batter into waffle iron. Serve with butter (real or nearly real) and syrup. Die happy.
