Biscuit Southern Recipe
Biscuits

3 cups of flour
1 tbs + 1.5 tsp of baking powder
3/4 tsp of salt
2 tbs + 1.5 tsp of sugar
6 tbs butter - room temp.
1 1/3 cup of 1/2 and 1/2 or 2/3 cup cream, 2/3 cup milk
2 tbs half and half for top for glazing
1 tbs sugar for biscuit tops

Put Oven to 375F.
Put flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in mixing bowl
Cut butter into 1/2 tbs pieces and add to flour. Work to coarse meal stage.
Put a well in the flour, pour in cream/milk.
Stir until just forms a ball.
Turn dough onto a light floured surface, knead 2/3 times, roll to 1 inch and cut out biscuits.
Glaze on baking sheet.
Bake 20 minutes until light brown on top.
