Bread Damper Recipe
Damper
Ingredients 3 cups of flour (self-raising or add 1 teaspoon self-raising flower per cup) 1-2 tsp salt 90 grams of melted butter (7 tablespoons) 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup milk golden syrup
Method Heat oven to 375F Grease and dust baking tray Combine butter, water and milk and then add flour Stir till just combined Knead until smooth on lightly floured surface Press out into 20cm round on baking tray. Score into 8 sections with knife. Dust with flour and bake. Takes approximately 25 minutes to turn golden. |
