Brownie Standard Recipe
Brownie
Ingredients
6 ounces unsweetened chocolate 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter 2 cups sugar 4 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup flour 1 cup walnuts (optional)
Recipe
1. Heat oven to 350F and grease/dust (9"*9"*1.5" or similar) baking pan. 2. Melt butter and chocolate together in a bowl (microwave is easy!) 3. Mix sugar with butter and chocolate. 4. Add eggs and mix well. 5. Add vanilla 6. Add flour and stir. 7. Fold in nuts. 8. Bake for 35-40 minutes. Test with a knife in centre. If knife fairly clean then done. Best if a little "under-done". If cooking in pyrex can look at bottom to see if done. 9. Allow to cool before cutting. Serves well out of pan. To ease out of pan, pop in freezer for 30-120 minutes before cutting/removing.
